UNESCO Associated School/SGH/International Exchange
Our school has been continuously working on improving its quality of education in international understanding. Our effort has been greatly appreciated and we are recognized as a UNESCO Associated School.
In 2014, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) designated Nose High School a “Super Global High School” (SGH). A designation valid for the five-year-period between 2014 and 2019.
Every year, exchange students come to our school from abroad. To date, we have accepted students from USA, Thailand, South Korea, China, Norway, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, Russia, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Hungary, Sweden, Germany, Argentina and Turkey. They take same classes as our students, and study Japanese with help from language volunteers from the community.
Also, every year, our second year students go to Malaysia for a school trip to encounter and learn about diverse cultures of various ethnic groups. As soon as our first year students move into the second year, they start exchanging emails with students of Assunta High school, our sister school in Malaysia.
